3D Printing

For rapid prototyping and for low strength & volume production we use a form of additive manufacturing called FDM 3D printing.
FDM printing works by melting a roll of thermoplastic on to a heated print bed in layers to form the shape required. There are many thermoplastics available for different applications but we typically use PLA due to the ease of printing.

Our 3D printer is the Prusa i3 Mk3S which has many advanced features for ease of printing and has a print volume of 250mm Wide x 210mm Deep x 210mm Tall.
We can accommodate larger items but they will be split into seperate parts for printing then glued together afterwards.
