To complement our existing 3D services we have invested in a ScanTech AXE-B11 handheld metrology grade 3D scanner.
This portable 3D scanning system will allow us to 3D scan objects on site taking 1,300,000 measurements per second with an accuracy of up to 0.02mm and a volumetric accuracy up to 0.020mm/m.
The system uses 11 blue lasers to shine a hatched pattern on to the object then two cameras record this pattern to generate the scan data in real time. The system also uses a photogrammetry camera and reflective markers to track its position on the object and ensure volumetric accuracy.
File outputs from this system are typically in STL or point cloud format however we can offer a conversion service to turn this data into a CAD file with feature tree.
